truncating the cube

truncations by the vertices give the truncated cube, then the cuboctahedron, then the truncated octahedron, and the complete truncation the octahedron a truncation by the edges gives a chamfered cube with all edges equal, and the complete truncation the rhombic dodecahedron
(likewise for the chamfered octahedron)
truncations the vertices and by the edges lead to the small rhombicuboctahedron
(starting with the cuboctahedron gives the great rhombicuboctahedron )
